Setting your code
- Your luggage arrives set to 000. Open the lock.
- Find the small pin inside the lock housing. Shift it from position A to position B.
- Dial your new three-digit code.
- Move the pin back to A. Test the lock once before you pack.
Write the code somewhere other than the luggage tag. If you forget it, the lock can be cycled through combinations, but it is slow.
What TSA-approved means
The lock is recognised by the US Transportation Security Administration and similar agencies. If a bag is selected for inspection, an agent opens it with a universal key rather than cutting the lock. There is no key supplied with the case, which is the point: nothing to lose.
The Carry On and Check In use a universal combination lock. The Plus range uses a TSA-approved zip lock. The Carry On Pro is zipperless with an integrated TSA lock.
Looking after the shell
- The textured polycarbonate is designed to hide scuffs. Clean it with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; avoid solvents and abrasive pads, which dull the texture.
- Check the wheels for hair and grit after a trip; a spinner that drags is usually a wrapped wheel.
- Let the polyester lining air fully before storing. Store with the seat folded flat and the handle down.
- Do not use the seat as a step or on a moving surface. The 100 kg rating assumes a seated load on flat ground.
Warranty
MiaMily luggage bought from an authorised Australian retailer carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty on manufacturing defects: zips, handles, wheels, stitching and materials. Airline handling damage, wear and cosmetic marks are not covered. Claims go through the Coolkidz support portal with proof of purchase. Details on the warranty page.
